Ontario lists two distinct Grade 10 mathematics courses. Check your school timetable before choosing a path; these courses do not have identical expectations.

Both courses build on Grade 9 ideas: proportional reasoning, linear relations, tables, graphs, and algebraic expressions. Review a weak prerequisite first, then return to the Grade 10 topic.
Topic map versus published lessons
The maps cover the specific expectations in Ontario’s Grade 10 mathematics curriculum and the MTH1W transition addenda. They are paraphrased study topics, not official expectation codes. Each course page also has original worked examples and independent practice. A topic appearing on the map does not mean its written lecture is available: lessons are added in reviewed batches, with published and unpublished status shown beside each topic. Unpublished lectures stay out of the sitemap.

These independent study guides follow Ontario’s Grades 9–10 mathematics curriculum and its MPM2D and MFM2P transition addenda. Follow your teacher’s course outline for the sequence and assessment requirements.
Ontario also notes a financial-literacy graduation requirement in the compulsory Grade 10 math course from September 2026. Check your school’s current instructions; these topic maps do not yet teach or assess that separate requirement. Read Ontario’s policy note.
