Four pathways with different expectations
Ontario has four distinct Grade 11 mathematics courses. Use the code on your timetable; the courses have different prerequisites, methods, and destinations.
University preparation: functions and inverses, exponential and discrete functions, financial applications, and trigonometric functions.
Open MCR3UUniversity/college preparation: quadratic, exponential, and trigonometric functions with applications.
Open MCF3MCollege preparation: mathematical models, personal finance, geometry and trigonometry, data management, and probability.
Open MBF3CWorkplace preparation: earning, purchasing, saving, borrowing, transportation, and travel decisions.

Each course page maps every specific expectation in Ontario’s 2007 Grades 11–12 mathematics document. Lesson drafts are generated separately, pass a quality review for calculations, notation, course level, and readability, and are shown publicly only after administrator approval. The four pathways have separate knowledge boundaries so a workplace or college lesson is not taught with university-course methods.

These independent study guides follow the official Ontario Grades 11 and 12 Mathematics curriculum, 2007. MCR3U requires Grade 10 Academic Mathematics; MCF3M accepts Grade 10 Academic or Applied Mathematics; MBF3C requires Grade 10 Applied Mathematics; MEL3E accepts the pathways listed in the official document.
